Story behind this food blog

I’m a French home cook, a mother, and the person behind The Small Plenty.

I grew up in France, spent several years living in Japan, and now call Quebec, Canada, home. Each of these places has shaped the way I cook, but most of my recipes begin with a much simpler question: what can I make today that my family will genuinely enjoy?

I have always believed that good food does not need to be complicated, expensive or reserved for special occasions. It can be a warm loaf of homemade bread, a comforting dinner made from everyday ingredients, or a simple cake mixed together on an ordinary afternoon.

The Small Plenty is my way of celebrating those meals—the ones that make daily life feel a little more thoughtful and a little more generous.

Here, you will find approachable family recipes, homemade basics and practical ideas for making the most of what you already have. Nothing is meant to be perfect or overly polished. These are real recipes for real kitchens, created with family budgets, busy days and small appetites in mind.

Because plenty does not always mean having more. Sometimes, it simply means making something good with what is already in front of us.

Welcome to The Small Plenty. I’m so glad you’re here.
